Hastings
Hastings, 18 kilometres south of Napier on the fertile Heretaunga Plains, was levelled by the 1931 earthquake and rebuilt in Art Deco and Spanish Mission style. Surrounded by orchards and vineyards, it is one of New Zealand's great food-producing centres.
