# Palace of Justice

A grand Neo-Baroque court building near Karlsplatz, designed by Friedrich von Thiersch and completed in 1897, crowned by a tall glass-and-iron dome. In 1943 it hosted the Nazi show trials of the White Rose resistance, lending it a somber memory.
