# Maximilianeum

A grand arcaded building raised between 1857 and 1874 by Friedrich Bürklein for King Maximilian the Second on a terrace above the Isar. Founded to house an elite scholarship foundation, it has served since 1949 as the seat of the Bavarian State Parliament.
