# Basilica of San Lorenzo Maggiore

A late Roman basilica from around the fourth century and one of Milan's oldest churches, built with stone reused from the imperial city. Its domed central plan and the early Christian mosaics of the Chapel of Sant'Aquilino make it a rare survivor of imperial Mediolanum.
