Palazzo della Ragione (Broletto Nuovo)
The medieval heart of civic Milan, built between 1228 and 1233 as the city's broletto, or town hall. Rising on stone arcades in Piazza Mercanti, it hosted assemblies and justice and bears the ancient half-woolly sow, emblem of the city.
