# Arco della Pace

Milano, Italy

A neoclassical triumphal arch of marble at the edge of Parco Sempione, designed by Luigi Cagnola. Begun in 1807 to glorify Napoleon and completed in 1838 as the Arch of Peace, it is crowned by a bronze chariot drawn by six horses.
