Monument to the Army of the Andes
The Monument to the Army of the Andes, inaugurated in 1914 atop Cerro de la Gloria, honors the force San Martín led across the mountains to free Chile. Sculptor Juan Manuel Ferrari crowned it with a winged figure of Freedom breaking her chains.
