Lygon Street
Carlton's famous strip and the heart of Melbourne's Little Italy. Settled by Italian migrants from the 1950s, it claims Australia's first espresso machine and first pizzeria, Toto's, open since 1961. Today it teems with restaurants, cinemas and the annual Lygon Street Festa.
