# Albert Park Lake

A Y-shaped artificial lake of 49 hectares south of Melbourne's centre, proclaimed parkland in 1862 and named for Prince Albert. Ringed by a walking track, it hosts sailing and rowing, and since 1996 the Australian Formula One Grand Prix.
