# Koutoubia Mosque

Marrakech, Morocco

Marrakech's largest mosque, raised by the Almohads from 1147, crowned by a 77-metre sandstone minaret topped with copper orbs. Its slender tower became the model for Seville's Giralda and Rabat's Hassan Tower.
