# Bab Agnaou

Marrakech, Morocco

A ceremonial Almohad gateway built around 1188 as the grand entrance to Marrakech's royal kasbah. Carved from blue-grey sandstone, its concentric arches and Kufic Quranic inscription make it one of the finest surviving Almohad gates in Morocco.
