# Lyon Opera House

Lyon, France

Jean Nouvel crowned the 1831 opera house with a vast glass barrel vault in 1993, keeping only the stone facades and foyer while tripling the volume within. The 1,100-seat home of the Opéra National de Lyon faces City Hall across Place de la Comédie.
