Medinet Habu

Medinet Habu is the fortified mortuary temple of Ramesses III, built around 1186 to 1155 before the common era. Its towering walls, fortress-like gatehouse, and battle reliefs of the Sea Peoples preserve some of Egypt's best-kept ancient color.
