Tomb of Merneptah (KV8)
KV8 is the tomb of Merneptah, the 19th Dynasty pharaoh who succeeded Ramesses II. Its long corridor runs about 160 meters into the hillside, and the granite lid of one of his four nested sarcophagi still rests in the burial chamber.
