Santa Justa Lift

A wrought-iron neo-Gothic elevator built between 1900 and 1902 by engineer Raoul Mesnier du Ponsard, linking the streets of Baixa to Largo do Carmo above. Its wood-panelled cabins and rooftop terrace make it Lisbon's most ornate shortcut.
