Glória Funicular
A nineteenth-century funicular linking Praça dos Restauradores with the Bairro Alto viewpoint of São Pedro de Alcântara. Engineer Raoul Mesnier du Ponsard opened the 275-meter line in 1885, and it was declared a National Monument in 2002.
