# Bibliotheca Thysiana

A Dutch Classical library built in 1655 by Arent van 's-Gravesande from the bequest of scholar Johannes Thysius. It is the only surviving seventeenth-century building in the Netherlands purpose-built as a public library, still holding its original collection.
