# Skanderbeg National Museum

This museum within the castle walls was built between nineteen seventy-eight and nineteen eighty-two and designed by Pranvera Hoxha and Pirro Vaso in the style of the northern tower houses. It preserves Skanderbeg's legacy and shows how the communist regime used the hero's image to legitimise its own power.
