Hiroshima, Japan

Shukkei-en is an Edo-period strolling garden begun in 1620 for the Asano lords. Its name means condensed scenery, miniature mountains, valleys and a central pond gathered around an arched stone bridge, replanted after the 1945 atomic bombing.
