# Children's Peace Monument

Unveiled in 1958, this monument honors the child victims of the atomic bombing. Inspired by Sadako Sasaki and her paper cranes, it crowns a domed pedestal with a girl raising a crane, surrounded by glass cases of folded cranes from around the world.
