Heidelberg Central Station

Heidelberg Central Station, Heidelberg

Opened in 1955 to a modernist design by Helmuth Conradi, Heidelberg's central station replaced an 1840 terminus near the Old Town. Its glass-walled main hall, listed since 1972, marked the city's postwar arrival on the long-distance rail network.
