Founded by merchant Hu Xueyan in 1874 near Wushan, Huqingyutang is a grand wooden pharmacy in Jiangnan style. Since 1991 it has housed a Chinese medicine museum, yet it still sells and dispenses traditional remedies as a working drugstore.
