# Teatro Degollado

Built between 1856 and 1866, this Neoclassical opera house fronts the plaza with sixteen Corinthian columns and an Apollo frieze. Inside, a domed fresco of Dante's Divine Comedy crowns tiers of gilded boxes seating around 1,015 spectators.
