Guadalajara, Mexico
Santa Teresita neighbourhood

This working-class neighborhood north of downtown Guadalajara began to take shape in the late 1920s; its beloved market began as a series of stalls in the 1940s before the market building was constructed in 1951. Famous for some of the city's best street food and its lively tianguis, Santa Tere keeps generations of family-run stalls and a fiercely local spirit alive.
