Carmen de los Mártires

The largest of Granada's cármenes, a 19th-century palace set in more than seven hectares of gardens on the Alhambra hill. French, English and Nasrid-inspired grounds wrap around a lake, on a site that held Christian captives and, later, a Carmelite convent.
