Pyramid of Djoser
Built around 2650 BCE at Saqqara by the architect Imhotep, the Step Pyramid of Djoser was Egypt's first pyramid and the earliest colossal stone building. Its six tiers rise about 62 meters within a vast enclosure of courtyards and colonnades.
