# St Michael's Church

Ghent, Belgium

A late Gothic church begun around 1440 whose grand tower was never finished. A 1662 design called for a spire of 134 metres; instead a flat roof was set over a stump in 1828. Inside hangs Van Dyck's Crucifixion.
