St Bavo's Cathedral
Ghent's Gothic cathedral grew from a chapel consecrated in 942 and became a cathedral in 1559. Its 89-metre tower crowns a Baroque-rich interior that guards the celebrated Ghent Altarpiece by the van Eyck brothers.
