Evora, Portugal
Roman Temple of Évora

A first-century Roman temple crowning Évora's highest ground, with fourteen granite columns and white marble capitals from the city of Estremoz. Long mistaken for a shrine to Diana, it was probably dedicated to the cult of Emperor Augustus.
