Malagueira Quarter
A landmark social-housing quarter designed by Pritzker laureate Álvaro Siza from 1977, on Évora's western edge. Around 1,200 low white courtyard houses line gridded streets, threaded by a raised concrete channel that echoes the city's old aqueduct.
