Garcia de Resende Theatre
Évora's 19th-century opera house, inaugurated in 1892 and designed by engineer Adriano da Silva Monteiro in an Italian-influenced eclectic style. Named for the poet Garcia de Resende, it remains the city's main stage and home to its resident drama company.
