# Basilica of Saint Michael (Arapaj)

In the village of Arapaj, a few kilometres south of Durrës, lie the remains of an early Christian basilica dating from the fifth and sixth centuries. Its floors bear monograms from the time of Emperor Anastasius, while a large pastoral mosaic now lies covered again, hidden beneath the earth that protects it.
