# Early Christian Basilica of Gjuricaj

Durrës, Albania

This early Christian basilica, dating from the fifth and sixth centuries and measuring nearly forty-seven metres in length, was discovered in the village of Gjuricaj, a few kilometres from Durrës. Traces of walls and remains of the floor bear witness to an early Byzantine church, forgotten among the fields.
