University of Otago Registry Building

The Registry Building, completed in 1879 to a design by Maxwell Bury, is the landmark of New Zealand's oldest university. Built in dark Leith Valley basalt and pale Oamaru stone beside the Water of Leith, its 33-metre clock tower defines the campus.
