St Joseph's Cathedral

St Joseph's Cathedral, opened in 1886 to a Gothic Revival design by Francis Petre, is the Catholic cathedral of Dunedin. Built in pale Oamaru stone, it was completed without the tall spire Petre planned, yet remains admired for its rib-vaulted interior.
