Pleistos Gorge

The deep valley below Delphi, carved by the Pleistos river between Mount Parnassus and Mount Kirphis. Mostly dry on the surface and known locally as Xeropotamos, it cradles the vast olive grove, the sea of olives, that runs down to the Gulf of Corinth.
