# Grave of Johannes Vermeer

Delft, Netherlands

The burial place of Johannes Vermeer inside the Oude Kerk, where the painter was laid to rest in December 1675. A plain memorial stone marks the spot, a quiet contrast to the worldwide fame that came two centuries after his death.
