# Wanchaq District

Cusco, Peru

Wanchaq is the smallest and most densely populated district of Cusco Province, created in 1955 just southeast of the historic center. A residential and commercial quarter crossed by Avenida de la Cultura, it is where much of everyday modern Cusco actually lives.
