Commerce Square (Praça do Comércio)
Coimbra's old marketplace and one of its liveliest squares, ringed by colourful townhouses and two medieval churches. Once the commercial heart of the lower town, it now bustles with cafés, shops and a monthly antiques fair, with a reproduction pillory standing before the Church of Santiago.
