Riccarton House and Bush
Riccarton House is the grand Victorian and Edwardian home of the pioneering Deans family, built in stages from 1856. Beside it stands Riccarton Bush, a rare surviving remnant of ancient kahikatea forest. Both passed to public ownership in 1947 and now welcome visitors.
