Cardboard Cathedral, Christchurch

The Cardboard Cathedral is a striking A-frame church built from 96 giant cardboard tubes, designed by Japanese architect Shigeru Ban and opened in 2013. It served as a transitional cathedral after the 2011 earthquake wrecked the city's stone original.
