Wat Chet Yot

Wat Chet Yot, Chiang Mai

Built from 1455 by King Tilokarat, Wat Chet Yot takes its name from the seven spires crowning its temple, a Lanna echo of the Mahabodhi shrine at Bodh Gaya. It hosted the Eighth World Buddhist Council in 1477.
