# Qasr al-Nil Bridge

Guarded by four bronze lions, the Qasr al-Nil Bridge links downtown Cairo to Gezira Island. First built between 1869 and 1871 and rebuilt from 1931 to 1933, it spans the Nile beside Tahrir Square.
