Basilica of the Holy Blood

A double chapel on the Burg with a sober Romanesque lower level built from 1139 to 1149 and an ornate Gothic upper chapel. It guards a venerated phial said to hold the blood of Christ, honoured each year in the Procession of the Holy Blood.
