Custom House Tower

A Greek Revival custom house from 1849 gained a soaring tower in 1915, designed by Peabody and Stearns. Rising 496 feet with a 22-foot clock, it was Boston's tallest building for nearly half a century. Today it houses a Marriott hotel.
