Pey-Berland Tower

Pey-Berland Tower, Bordeaux

A free-standing Flamboyant Gothic bell tower raised between 1440 and 1500 beside Bordeaux Cathedral, deliberately set apart so its bells would not shake the church. Around two hundred and thirty steps spiral up to sweeping rooftop views.
