Tempelhofer Feld
The vast airfield of Tempelhof Airport, closed in 2008 and opened as a public park in 2010. Its disused runways and open expanse, saved from development by a 2014 referendum, now serve cyclists, kite-surfers, gardeners and picnickers across central Berlin.
