West Berlin's grand shopping boulevard, stretching roughly 3.5 kilometres from the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church westward. Once a riding track for Brandenburg's electors, it became a fashionable avenue in the 1880s and remains the city's most famous luxury street.
