Berlin Wall Memorial
The central memorial to Germany's division, opened in 1998 along Bernauer Strasse on the former death strip. It preserves the last largely authentic stretch of the Berlin Wall, with watchtower, border installations and a documentation centre commemorating those who died trying to cross.
