Miaoying Temple (White Pagoda)
Crowned by the great White Pagoda raised under Kublai Khan in 1279, this temple holds the oldest and largest Tibetan Buddhist stupa in China. Its Nepalese architect Araniko gave Beijing one of its most distinctive medieval landmarks.
